Orange Cares Program – Port Jervis

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus will help fill backpacks with food at 1p.m.
on Thursday, May 18th at Port Jervis Middle School as part of the Orange Cares program.
The Orange Cares program has now been implemented in the Chester, Highland Falls, Middletown,
Port Jervis and Newburgh school districts, serving approximately 520 students each month.
Approximately 4,773 backpacks were distributed during the 2015-16 school year, containing the equivalent of 28,638 meals. During the 2016-17 school year, 12,685 backpacks have been dispensed with the equivalent of 76,110 meals.
When: 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18.
Where: Port Jervis Middle School, 118 East Main Street, Port Jervis.
